The annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

The annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity begins a week from today, on Friday, January 18, and continues through Friday, January 25. The theme for 2013 is “What Does God Require of Us?” (cf. Micah 6: 6-8) Use the Daily Scripture and Prayer Guide to join with Christians around the world praying “that all may be one... that the world may believe” (John 17:21). Join Reconciler with members of other Christian churches and communities in our area for the following events:

Sunday, January 20th we will use the full Lima Liturgy (created by the World Council of Churches for different denominations to share communion together.) We are expecting members of Immanuel Lutheran church to join us and all are welcome.

On Wednesday, January 23 there will be potluck dinner at 6 pm and Bible study at 7 pm at Edgewater Presbyterian Church, 1020 West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Chicago. Rev Barbara Cathey will guide our study of 1 Corinthians 12 ("...to each individual a gift of the spirit is given for some benefit..."). Parking is available across Sheridan Road at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church.
